When to treat any symptom as an emergency
- Seizures, tremors, or collapse — emergency, go now.
- Breathing difficulty or rapid breathing — emergency.
- Brown-grey gums (instead of pink) — acetaminophen or other blood-affecting toxin. Emergency.
- Repeated vomiting with blood — emergency.
- No urine produced in 12+ hours — possible kidney injury (lilies, antifreeze, grapes). Emergency.
- Sudden unsteadiness that looks like 'drunkenness' — possible antifreeze, alcohol, or essential oil exposure. Emergency.
